2. Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be unambiguously clear about data we never collect, transmit, or process:
- Screen recordings, video files, audio recordings, or any multimedia content captured by the App.
- Your name, physical address, or any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), except the contact information (Email/Phone) you voluntarily provide if you choose to use our in-app "Share Feedback" support feature.
- Passwords, financial information, or payment card details of any kind.
- Contents of messages, call logs, contacts, photos, or other personal files on your device.
- Precise GPS location or real-time location data.
3. Accessibility Service Permission
The Application utilises the Android Accessibility Service API exclusively to ensure your voice is heard by your teammates in-game. This is a technical requirement imposed by Android's audio routing policies to achieve simultaneous internal and microphone audio capture on unrooted Android devices.
Important Transparency Notice: Google Play requires apps using the Accessibility Service to explicitly disclose its purpose. We want to be completely clear about how and why this permission is used in ZeroLag.
- No Personal Data Collected: The Accessibility Service is never used to collect, read, store, transmit, or monitor any personal data — including screen content, keystrokes, UI interactions, app usage patterns, passwords, or any other user activity.
- Strictly In-Game Use Only: We will ONLY use this Accessibility service to record your mic input and in-game audio when you use the recorder with your games.
- No Call Recording / Non-Game Apps: We will NOT use this service to record your mic audio while using non-game apps or during phone calls.
- No Third-Party Sharing: No data obtained through or in connection with the Accessibility Service is shared with any third party, including advertisers or analytics providers.
4. How We Use Your Information
- Premium Verification: Your Android Device ID is stored in Firebase to verify, restore, and maintain your premium subscription status — even after app reinstalls on the same device.
- Service Reliability: Anonymised analytics help us identify crashes, optimise recording performance, and prioritise new features.
- Advertising: Google AdMob uses the Advertising ID to serve contextually relevant advertisements to free-tier users. You may opt out of personalised ads at any time in your Google Account settings or device settings.
- Legal Compliance: We may process data where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requests.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions where a legal basis for data processing is required, we rely on the following grounds:
- Performance of Contract: Processing your Device ID and purchase token to provide the premium subscription you purchased.
- Legitimate Interests: Processing anonymised analytics to maintain and improve the Application.
- Consent: Serving personalised advertisements through Google AdMob, where consent is required and obtained.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes. Data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Google LLC (Firebase, AdMob, Play Billing) as our infrastructure and advertising partner, subject to Google's own Privacy Policy.
- Legal Requirements: If required by applicable law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information to the extent mandated.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all assets, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction, with notice provided to you.
7. Third-Party Services
The Application integrates the following Google services, each governed by Google's Privacy Policy:
We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy for a full understanding of how Google processes data.
8. Data Retention
- Device ID & Premium Status (Firebase): Retained for the duration of your active subscription. Upon subscription cancellation, the record is retained for up to 90 days to facilitate reinstatement, then permanently deleted.
- Analytics Data: Retained in aggregate, anonymised form for up to 14 months, consistent with Google Analytics default retention settings.
- On-Device Data (Coins, State Flags): Stored locally until you uninstall the Application or clear App data.
9. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information:
- Premium status stored locally on-device using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256-GCM encryption), making it tamper-resistant.
- Firebase data is protected by Firebase Security Rules, permitting only authorised read/write operations.
- All communications with Firebase and Google APIs use TLS 1.2 or higher in transit.
- We do not store your data on our own servers. All server-side storage is exclusively through Google's infrastructure.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your device.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your Device ID or Feedback data from our Firebase database. Note: Deleting the Device ID will permanently revoke your premium subscription status.
- Opt-Out of Personalised Ads: Navigate to Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation on your device, or reset your Advertising ID.
- Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format where technically feasible.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data we hold.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address provided in Section 14.
11. Children's Privacy
The ZeroLag Application is

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notification or an update to the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Application following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
13. Governing Law

For users in the European Union, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For users in California, we comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to the extent applicable.
